2. Environmental Studies

Flora studies to determine if there are any rare or endangered plant species present that could be affected by a proposed project. Fauna (birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles) studies to determine type, abundance, rare or endangered and mitigation methods.

3. Groundwater Studies

Hydro geology, groundwater balance, groundwater conditions, groundwater supply, groundwater resource evaluation.

4. Peatland Development

Surveys, peat sampling (coring) and classification, drainage designs, peat bog harvesting designs, development plans, reclamation plans, obtaining necessary permits and licenses.

5. Pipeline Crossing Design

Channel stability studies, scour depth calculations, erosion protection design, and protective cover design.

6. Satellite Surveys (G.P.S.)

Sameng uses the very latest in satellite survey technology wherever it is economically feasible.

7. Reclamation

Reclamation plans for gravel sites, harvested peatlands, oil-well sites, gas wells, pipelines, etc.

8. Feedlots

Sameng Inc. has been involved in feedlot designs in Alberta. Our main focus was to obtain an adequate water supply either through surface water or groundwater or a combination there of. In addition, Sameng Inc. designed the effluent ponds and worked on the overall layout of the feedlot. Groundwater aspects from a point of view of water supply and/or groundwater pollution were addressed by groundwater consultants we normally retain to assist us in groundwater areas. The overall goal of our works was:

  • To ensure that the feedlot performed to a high degree of satisfaction and that the works met with all aspects of government regulations;
  • To obtain all Government required approvals.
