Gerry Samide has an extensive background in river engineering, hydrology, municipal engineering, and water resources development. He is the founder of Sameng Inc. and has over the last 25 years built a reputation for innovation and responsive service. His range of expertise includes investigative studies, structural designs, reports and construction management on over 100 water management projects through out Alberta for various local, provincial and federal authorities. These projects included erosion control structures, flood prevention, drop structures, small dams, wetland level control structures, bank stabilization, and channel improvement. In addition, Gerry is often called as a government expert witness in water related lawsuits. Prior to forming his own company, Gerry worked as the Department Head of Alberta Environment’s River Engineering Branch. He has also worked for Alberta Environment in the fields of Hydrology and River Engineering.
